Boat rental on the Hron, central Slovakia

Welcome to NaVodu boat rental and our own Iliaš paddling camp near Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. We rent canoes, Palava boats and rafts for the Hron in central Slovakia — for families, groups and companies. Other Slovak rivers by arrangement.

Where is Hron canoeing near Banská Bystrica?

Iliaš is our own camp 1 km downstream of Banská Bystrica in central Slovakia. The usual boat issue is in Nemecká (DRONTE) or at Iliaš — a popular one-day Hron trip.

Which Hron routes do you offer?

One-day Nemecká–Iliaš and two-day Nemecká–Zvolen. Pick-up at DRONTE Nemecká or at our Iliaš camp. Other stretches on request.

Is boat transport included?

Yes. On the one- and two-day packages transport is in the price — it is not added on top. For 3+ days, transport is calculated from the chosen route.

Where do I pick up boats for the Hron?

Most often at DRONTE Nemecká (9:00–10:00) or Iliaš camp. Other places on request.

How much is a canoe for one day?

The one-day Nemecká – Iliaš package is €20 / CZK 480 per canoe or Palava, including transport in the package.

Can I pay in Czech crowns?

Yes. Prices are listed in EUR and CZK. Czech Air Bank account 1569957012 / 3030; the variable symbol is the order number.

Is the Hron suitable for beginners, families and groups?

Nemecká–Iliaš is a popular family stretch in central Slovakia. We also welcome groups and companies; Iliaš camp has parking and space for 100–120 people. Gear difficulty is listed in the contract (WW II–III).

Contract

Equipment rental terms

  1. The hirer uses the gear only for usual water touring and protects it from heat and fire.
  2. The hirer is liable for damage caused by anyone they lend the gear to.
  3. After the hire period the gear is returned where it was collected, or as agreed.
  4. Negligent damage is paid in full by the hirer.
  5. Gear must be secured against theft; report theft to the police immediately.
  6. If not returned, the purchase price in the contract is due. Inflatable-boat damage including repair is paid by the hirer.
  7. On breach the provider may end the hire and demand immediate return of the gear.
  8. Late return is charged at twice the daily rate; waiting time up to €33.
  9. Payment, if not sent with the order, is made when the contract is signed.
  10. The hirer follows safety rules on the paddled section.
  11. Difficulty: open Vydra canoe WWII, closed WWIII, kayak WWIII, Colorado raft WWIII, Palava WWII. The provider is not liable for injuries.
  12. A contract without a signature is invalid; the hirer receives two copies.
  13. Issue 9:00–10:00, return by 18:00. Another time must be agreed at least a day ahead.
